Spelling Bee Solver
Stuck on today's puzzle? Tap Load today's letters to pull in the exact hive you're playing on the homepage, or type a custom center and six outer letters. Then reveal results one at a time with partial clues - first two letters, length, point value - or show the full list when you're ready.
How to use the Spelling Bee Solver
Four quick steps to a full list of answers - on your terms.
Load or enter the letters
Tap Load today's letters for the exact hive on the homepage, or type a custom center letter in the highlighted hex plus the six outer letters. Each box takes one letter and jumps to the next.
Click Find words
Press Find words to search for every word that uses only your seven letters and includes the center letter. Letters can repeat within a word.
Reveal one at a time
Each hidden word shows its first two letters, length, and point value. Reveal the ones you want one tap at a time - enough of a nudge to jog a memory without spoiling the rest.
Or reveal everything
Had enough? Press Reveal all to unmask every answer in one go. Pangrams - words using all seven letters - are highlighted and earn a 7-point bonus.
About the Solver
The Spelling Bee Solver is a free helper for the daily Spelling Bee puzzle on TheSpellingBee.org. When you can't find that last word to reach the Genius rank, the solver gives you a complete, point-ranked list of valid answers so you can pick a hint without spoiling the whole puzzle at once.
The tool follows the official rules of the game:
- Words must contain at least four letters.
- Every word must include the center letter.
- Letters from the hive can be reused as many times as you like.
- Four-letter words are worth 1 point. Longer words score 1 point per letter.
- Pangrams use all seven letters and earn an extra 7-point bonus.
Today's hive, one tap
For the daily puzzle, Load today's letters pulls the exact seven letters from the hive you're playing on the homepage - same center, same outer letters - using the same puzzle logic the game runs on. The solver's results therefore match the playable game's accepted words and scoring for today's board.
Custom hives
Manual entry still works for custom hives, such as a puzzle a friend sent or a board from another publisher. Custom hives are scored against the same comprehensive English dictionary the solver uses everywhere else, so results stay consistent whether you load today's puzzle or type your own letters.
The dictionary is broad, so a handful of uncommon words may appear that the game's own stricter curation leaves out (proper nouns, hyphenated words, profanity and very rare entries are filtered). Treat the solver as a hint engine: use the partial clues to spark a memory, or reveal the full list when you're done with the puzzle.
